I have always felt a deep connection to helping others navigate their struggles and challenges. My experiences have profoundly shaped who I am today, instilling a deep empathy for those facing difficult times.
During my teenage years, I endured a traumatic hospitalisation that led to a battle with an eating disorder, impacting my physical, emotional, and mental health. I was overwhelmed by anxiety and depression, often feeling lost and consumed by stress. Yet, I was determined to heal and find a better path forward.
With the help of therapy, the unwavering support of friends and family, and a deep connection with my spirituality, I gradually overcame the eating disorder and built a strong foundation of mental wellness. This journey taught me the importance of self-care and the power of truly listening to my inner needs. I developed a healthier, more self-aware approach to life by facing and learning from my fears.
These challenges have not only helped me care for myself but also allowed me to create a life that is authentically my own. My path is far from perfect, but it is uniquely mine, and I have no regrets about the person I’ve become. I am committed to helping you to do the same—to empower you to find your inner peace and deeper connection with yourself, enabling you to embrace each experience and live fully.
As a qualified Sophrology Practitioner and Wellbeing Coach, I have learned techniques to support others through holistic approaches tailored to each individual’s unique circumstances. As I finalise my study to become a psychotherapist, I am improving my approach by deepening my learning in other therapeutic modalities.
My ultimate goal is to empower you to care for yourself, create your own life, and connect with your authentic self so you can walk your path with confidence, peace, self-awareness, and strength.
I have always felt a deep connection to helping others through their struggles and challenges.
My experiences have played a significant role in shaping the person I am today, giving me deep levels of empathy towards others.
In my teenage years, I struggled with an eating disorder that took a toll on my physical and mental health.
Consumed by anxiety and depression, I felt constantly stressed and lost.
I was determined to find a way to heal and get better.
Through therapy, support groups, and hard work, I overcame the eating disorder and developed a strong foundation of mental wellness.
This journey has given me a clear understanding of the importance of self-care and it inspired me to help others in similar situations.
I have trained as a sophrology practitioner and wellbeing coach, learning techniques to help support others in a range of different approaches suited to each individual’s personal circumstances.
As I continue to learn and grow, as we all do, I am taking the next steps on my path, training to become a psychotherapist using CBT (Cognitive Behavioural Therapy)
My ultimate goal is to empower individuals to find inner peace and a deeper connection with themselves, allowing them to embrace each experience and live life to the full.
SOPHROLOGY
is a mind-body practice that combines Eastern and Western techniques and offers a holistic approach to well-being. It integrates body, mind, and spirit, helping individuals develop greater self-awareness, resilience, and inner peace in their daily lives.
Sophrology typically involves a series of structured exercises and techniques, often practised in a standing, seated or lying-down position, that focus on relaxing the body, calming the mind, and cultivating a sense of inner balance and harmony. These exercises may include progressive muscle relaxation, controlled breathing techniques, visualisation, and positive affirmations.
COGNITIVE BEHAVIOURAL THERAPY (CBT)
is a structured form of talking therapy designed to help you manage your problems by changing the way you think and behave. The core idea behind CBT is that your thoughts, feelings, and behaviours are interconnected and that negative thoughts and patterns of behaviour can trap you in a vicious cycle of distress.
By breaking this cycle, CBT helps to reduce emotional pain and promote healthier thinking and behaviour. Unlike some other forms of therapy that may delve deeply into your past experiences and childhood, CBT is more concerned with what is happening in your life right now. It aims to tackle your current challenges by helping you develop practical strategies to change unhelpful thought patterns and behaviours contributing to your difficulties.
OTHER THERAPEUTIC MODALITIES
A Person-Centred Approach is profoundly effective in building a genuine human connection. This approach is the base of my therapeutic approach through empathy, unconditional positive regard, and authenticity.
Couple Therapy helps improve communication and resolve conflicts between partners, strengthening your relationship.
Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) focuses on accepting your thoughts and feelings while committing to actions that align with your values, helping you live a more meaningful life.
Compassion-focused therapy (CFT) encourages self-compassion, especially if you struggle with self-criticism, promoting emotional well-being.
Family Systemic Therapy looks at family dynamics, helping improve communication and resolve conflicts within the family.
In our sessions, available in both English and French, you can opt for a single session or choose a package. You have the flexibility to decide based on your evolving needs. Packages offer price reductions and can be tailored to align with your long-term goals.
Each session typically lasts 60 minutes, whether online via Zoom or in person in Glasgow or Paisley.
We aim to create a safe, non-judgmental space where you can explore your thoughts, fears, desires, emotions and struggles.
Confidentiality is always maintained, ensuring your privacy and trust.
If you select a Sophrotherapy session, we can blend various modalities, such as Sophrology, Coaching, Counselling and Cognitive-Behavioural Therapy (CBT). This combination creates a powerful, transformative program designed to support your journey toward optimal health and well-being.
Alternatively, we can focus exclusively on Sophrology or CBT based on your preferences.
